What do I do when my timetable indicates I have Duty?Check your timetable to determine the area to which you’ve been assigned. There are 12 areas (map attached here) throughout the school grounds that need to be covered at various duty times throughout the school day. This map is also displayed in the staff room. Staff Duty of Care requires that you are at your assigned area at the beginning of the duty time and remain till the duty time ends. During the duty time, ensure you keep moving within your area and maintain awareness of students’ activity. High visibility vests should be worn when staff are on-duty, thus allowing quick identification of staff if needed. There are several vests in each staff office. Staff are also encouraged to model sun smart awareness and wear a hat. Should your assigned area be a distance from the main buildings (e.g. soccer oval or basketball courts), ensure that you have a mobile phone so you can easily contact Student Services, if needed.

At least three weeks prior to an excursion, the CAMP/ EXCURSION PLANNING & RISK MANAGEMENT form must be presented to the Director of Teaching and Learning for signing approval. The list of all students attending, along with the signed risk management form, must then with Emma in Student Services two weeks prior to the excursion in order for the creation of the necessary documents (to be taken on the excursion) with all medical information needed.
